Tony Hale, Alia Shawkat, Jake Lacy and Clark Gregg have joined the Aaron Sorkin-directed “Being the Ricardos” at Amazon Studios.
Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem are starring respectively as Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz – the creatives and stars behind beloved sitcom groundbreaker “I Love Lucy”.
Sorkin wrote the film set during one production week of ‘Lucy’ as the husband-and-wife face a crisis that could end their careers and another that could end their marriage.
Hale will play ‘Lucy’ executive producer and head writer Jess Oppenheimer, while Shawkat and Lacy are the show’s longtime writing partners Madelyn Pugh and Bob Carroll Jr.
They join J.K. Simmons and Nina Arianda as show co-stars William Frawley and Vivian Vance. Nelson Franklin, John Rubinstein, Linda Lavin, Robert Pine and Christopher Denham also star.
Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch produce and the feature is now in production in Los Angeles.
