IMDb Removes “Godzilla” Review Bombers
The IMDb has removed a handful of negative reviews for “Godzilla vs. Kong” following the movie being review bombed by angry Snyderverse fans.
Those fans were riding high on the good reception the four-hour “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” received from critics and audiences upon its release the other week.
However, subsequent comments from a top Warners executive indicated there were no more plans for Snyder’s involvement in other DC projects has led to a vocal backlash.
So a handful of upset fans flocked to IMDb to review bomb “Godzilla vs. Kong” in retaliation against Warner Bros. Pictures for the perceived slight.
Forty-four one-star reviews of the film were logged, three-quarters of which cited Warner’s refusal to continue the Snyderverse. The number of one-star reviews has now been reduced to nine.
Review bombing has become a more common occurrence in recent years. “Godzilla vs. Kong will” open in theaters and stream on HBO Max from tomorrow (March 31st).
