While the “Creed” movies will continue with a third outing on the way, “Rocky” creator Sylvester Stallone has revealed via social media he’s working on a prequel series to the original films he starred in.
Stallone took to instagram to post a glimpse of a handwritten story treatment for the project which he’s aiming for a ten-episode initial run and potentially multiple seasons on a streaming service.
Stallone says: “I started out this morning by writing a treatment for a Rocky prequel For streaming. Ideally, 10 episodes for a few seasons to really get to the heart of the Characters in there younger years – here is a small portion of how my creative writing Process starts… hope it happens – And then I needed to clear my head so I went fishing… talk about extremes! Keep punching my friends.”
Two years ago Stallone said he’d been reflecting on the possibility of a “Rocky” prequel for a streamer platform but franchise producer Irwin Winkler disagreed with a TV approach.
