ILM has posted up a behind the scenes video today showcasing the use of the StageCraft virtual production technology on the second season of the “Star Wars” spin-off series “The Mandalorian”.

For the second season, the company re-engineered the tech to introduce things like ILM’s cinematic render engine ‘Helios’ designed for real-time visual effects.

Engineered with film and television production in mind, Helios: “offers incredible performance, high fidelity real-time ray tracing, the ability to rip through scenes of unparalleled complexity, all while leveraging ILM’s unrivaled color science.”
