Oscar nominee Sylvester Stallone has confirmed that he will not be returning for the third installment in the “Rocky” sequel film series “Creed”.

The next installment will see star Michael B. Jordan not just acting but also directing this time out, working from a script being penned by Keenan Coogler (“Space Jam: A New Legacy”) and Zach Baylin (“King Richard”) from a story outline from Ryan Coogler.

Stallone said during the release of “Creed II” that he would not be reprising the role of Rocky Balboa in any future projects, and he’s sticking to that word it seems though last week posted a treatment for a proposed “Rocky” prequel TV series.

Charles Winkler, William Chartoff and David Winkler will produce.
