There’s been very little online chatter in regards to “The Falcon & The Winter Soldier” as compared to either “The Mandalorian” or “WandaVision” which dominated pop culture discussions during their runs.
Disney has been trying to drum up talk a bit though and has seized on one of the few moments that has broken through – a small scene in the third episode in which Daniel Bruhl’s previously very serious Baron Zemo – fresh out of prison – does a small fist-pumping dance in a nightclub.
Bruhl the other week indicated the scene in question was cut with a longer dance originally recorded. Now, following a #ReleaseTheZemoCut social media campaign, Marvel has cut together a looping ‘ZemoCut’ YouTube clip that goes on for an hour and uses essentially what footage they have (which is actually about 90 seconds).
That’s not the only music number scoring a clip today. To celebrate the home video release of “Barb and Star Go To Vista Del Mar,” the talked about “Edgar’s Prayer” song has been released as a clip.
Jamie Dornan, known mostly for far more serious roles in “The Fall” and “50 Shades of Grey,” gets to act much more like himself in the film as the goofy, lovable Edgar who gets a full over the top song and dance number about his failed attempts to become an official couple with his megalomaniac boss (Kristen Wiig) intent on her killer mosquito swarm plan.
