Sharlto Copley Joins “Russian Doll” S2

“District 9” and “Chappie” alum Sharlto Copley has been cast in the second season of the award-winning mystery dramedy series “Russian Doll” at Netflix.

He joins recurring cast members Annie Murphy (“Schitt’s Creek”) and Carolyn Michelle Smith (“Colony”) who’ve also joined the new season which recently began production.

Natasha Lyonne starred in the first season as a New York woman (Nadia) who becomes caught in an endless loop of attending her own birthday party only to die and repeat the night over and over again.

Plot and character specifics of the second season are under wraps. The series was nominated for thirteen Emmy Awards for its first season, ultimately winning three.
