Mads Mikkelsen Joins “Indiana Jones 5”

Following the casting of Phoebe Waller-Bridge as the female lead, celebrated actor Mads Mikkelsen (“Another Round,” “Hannibal,” “Rogue One”) has joined the cast of the next Indiana Jones movie at Lucasfilm.

Plot details are under wraps, as are details regarding who Mikkelsen will play.

James Mangold is taking over the film’s directing from Steven Spielberg. Spielberg is serving as a producer but is said to be very much involved in various elements of the film.

John Williams, who has worked on every score in the franchise, will also return as composer. Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel also produce.

Filming aims to begin this Summer with casting continuing ahead of a planned July 29th 2022 release.
