“Game of Thrones” and “Borgen” alum Pilou Asbaek is in talks to join the cast of the “Aquaman” sequel at Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Entertainment.
The original was a major hit, grossing more than $1.14 billion at the worldwide box office which makes the sequel a high priority for the studio.
Plot specifics of the new entry are under wraps, as are details of Asbaek’s character.
Wan is returning to direct and produce alongside Peter Safran while David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick is penning the script. “Aquaman 2” opens December 16th 2022.
