Sony has decided to keep the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita digital storefronts up and running after the company’s plan to close them this summer drew considerable backlash.
The plan to shutter the PS3, Vita, and PlayStation Portable stores was first reported in the press last month, with Sony confirming the original report a week later. It also shut down the legacy web version of the PlayStation Store in the intervening time, so removing the systems’ own storefronts
