Russell Crowe has revealed he’ll be portraying Zeus, ruler of the Olympian Gods, in Taika Waititi’s “Thor: Love and Thunder”.
Speaking with Australian radio station Joy 94.9, Crowe revealed this week he’s just shot his last day as Zeus in the film. Crowe’s involvement in the movie has long been rumored, but he confirmed the news and revealed the role himself.
The famed Greek god does appear in Marvel canon with a similar origin story to the original myths and has engaged in battles with Thor, even though the latter is from Germanic mythology rather than Greek.
Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Chris Pratt, Matt Damon and Vin Diesel co-star. “Thor: Love and Thunder” is set to arrive in theaters on May 6th 2022.
