Erskine Joins “Obi-Wan Kenobi” Series

“PEN15” and “Insecure” actress Maya Erskine has signed on for an unspecified role in the Obi-Wan Kenobi TV series for the Disney+ streaming service.

She will appear in at least three episodes of the series which sees Ewan McGregor reprising his role as the Jedi Master and Hayden Christensen returning as Darth Vader.

The story is set a decade after the events of “Revenge of the Sith” and all members of the Jedi Order have either been killed or exiled.

Other previously announced actors in the six-episode run include Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend and O’Shea Jackson Jr.

Filming is expected to begin this month ahead of a debut in 2022.
