Multiple Oscar nominee and animation filmmaking master Tomm Moore (“Tomm Moore,” “Wolfwalkers,” “The Secret of Kells”) has joined the Jim Capobianco-directed animated feature “The Inventor”
The 10 million “The Inventor” is currently in pre-production and will encompass both 2D and puppet animation. Moore will direct the 2D sequences of the stop-motion film, working aside frequent collaborator Fabian Erlinghauser.
The story follows the life and times of Leonardo da Vinci, tracking how the headstrong Italian inventor and the audacious Princess Marguerite who will help him uncover the answer to the ultimate question: what is the meaning of it all?
Capobianco also penned the screenplay for the film which is targeting a Spring 2023 finish. Stephen Fry, Daisy Ridley, Marion Cotillard and Matt Berry lend their voices.
