The DC FanDome virtual event last year was a big success, so much so that WarnerMedia has announced plans to hold another one this year.
Set for October 16th, the announcement says confirms the event’s return and suggests this will be a one-day-only event as opposed to the two-parter of last year.
The broadcast in August last year made headlines for premiering the first trailer for Matt Reeves’ “The Batman,” the first trailer for “Zack Snyder’s Justice League,” the first footage from James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad,” an early teaser for “Black Adam” and first look at some high profile video games like “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” and “Gotham Knights”.
While no inclusions for this year have been announced, some are easy to guess. A new trailer for “The Batman” is practically guaranteed, as is looks at the “Gotham PD” spin-off series and the John Cena-led “Peacemaker” series.
The recently began filming “Black Adam” and “The Flash” and the about to begin shooting “Shazam: Fury of the Gods” and “Aquaman 2” will potentially offer early first look clips.
HBO Max’s planned “Green Lantern” series may also do something, while both the aforementioned video games may show off some more footage.
