Alexander Skarsgard has signed on for a recurring role in the third season of the Emmy-winning HBO series “Succession”.
A familiar face on the network for his roles in “True Blood,” “Generation Kill” and “Big Little Lies,” here he’ll play the successful and confrontational tech CEO Lukas Matsson. He joins Sanaa Lathan, Linda Emond and Jihae with recurring roles in season three.
Ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall at the end of season two, Logan Roy begins season three in a perilous position as he scrambles to secure familial, political and financial alliances. Tensions rise as a bitter corporate battle threatens to turn into a family civil war.
Jesse Armstrong created and serves as showrunner on the show which is also executive produced by Adam McKay. Production on the pandemic-delayed season is currently underway.
