Warner Bros. Pictures has picked up Tyler Marceca’s script “Stay Frosty” with plans to turn it into an action vehicle for actor Idris Elba and “Extraction” director Sam Hargrave who are both attached.
After miraculously surviving a bullet to the head, a man has to figure out who wants him dead and why. He needs to stop the assassin while still making it back home in time to spend Christmas with his son.
The project gives Elba a throwback 80s action film set around Christmas. Both will produce with Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg.
Elba recently shot the western “The Harder They Fall” and George Miller’s “Three Thousand Years of Longing”. He’ll next be seen in the James Gunn-directed “The Suicide Squad”.
