Shudder has set a June 8th premiere date for horror director George A. Romero’s legendary ‘lost’ film “The Amusement Park”.

The film was recently discovered and restored in 4K by IndieCollect, the George A. Romero Foundation and producer Suzanne Desrocher-Romero.

Originally commissioned by the Lutheran Society as a project that would showcase the issues of elder abuse and ageism, Romero used the topics to create a film about an elderly man that finds himself disoriented and isolated as his struggles are manifested in roller coasters and large crowds.

Shot nearly fifty years ago, this early Romero title joins Damien McCarthy’s “Caveat” as the kick off films of a twelve-week ‘Summer of Chills’ promotion from Shudder with new film premieres every week.
