Supergirl
Following Mehcad Brooks’ exit as James Olsen from “Supergirl” on The CW, his onscreen sister Kelly Olsen (Azie Tesfai) will take up the mantle of Guardian for the back half of the show’s final season.

The key episode will be co-written by Tesfai and directed by Arrow’s David Ramsey and will depit the “first Ethiopian or Eritrean superhero” ever put to screen. Check out the first full photo above. [Source: Twitter]

Invisible Life
HBO has begun developing a scripted drama series based on E. Lynn Harris’ 1990s Invisible Life trilogy of novels. Harris David Rivers will pen the script while “Soul Food” duo Proteus Spann and Tracey Edmonds will executive produce.

The young, gay and Black author fashioned a deeply moving coming-of-age story out of the then-highly controversial issues of bisexuality and AIDS. [Source: THR]
