HBO Max has announced “Garcia!” a new six-episode series to be produced in Spain based on the popular graphic novel and hailing from the team behind “30 Coins”.

The story follows a young investigative reporter (Veki Velilla) who uncovers the truth behind a decades-old Francoist conspiracy. The titular Garcia (Francisco Ortiz) is a super-soldier agent (with inhuman strength and agility) in the 1950 who was cryogenically frozen and now has been thawed out. [Source: Variety]

“Invincible” creator Robert Kirkman has opened up about the “Renfield” movie currently in the works at Universal Pictures. Talking about the film’s tone, Kirkman says: “It’s a story about him being Dracula’s henchman and how s–ty a job that is. It’s a fun, extremely violent comedy because I’ve got a crutch, and it’s violence.” Chris McKay is in talks to direct. Source: Fat Man Beyond]
