We’ve yet to see what the second generation of PlayStation VR looks like. A PS5 exclusive, the new unit will see some decided upgrades from the last one.
UploadVR has now scored more details about the planned refresh from sources at Sony. According to them, the new headset includes a 4K resolution screen, a lens separation adjustment dial, eye-tracking, and a motor in the headset to give haptic feedback.
The resolution of the headset will apparently be 4000×2080 pixels, about 8.3 million in total, which is slightly more than a typical 4K display.
Much like the Oculus Quest 2, the new headset will use onboard cameras to track the controllers and so won’t require a PS Camera. Like that set as well when it’s tethered to a PC,
