Adult Swim has announced plans for four short-form digital spin-off series based on minor characters from or inspired by four of their original series – “Rick and Morty,” “Robot Chicken,” “Aqua Teen Hunger Force” and “Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell”.
Each of these “mini-spinoffs” is set to consist of between eight and ten episodes, all of which will be available across global digital platforms.
The “Rick and Morty” one sees the return of The Vindicators, five superheroes (Supernova, Vance Maxiumus, Alan Rails, Crocubot and Noob Noob) who fight crime and avert genocides. They were introduced in a third season episode in which Rick drunkenly sets up a “Saw”-like scenario for them to navigate.
The stop-motion “Robot Chicken” one sees Donald Faison playing the role of Alabama Jackson, a smooth-talking time traveller who lands in exactly the wrong place at the wrong time, every time.
Aquadonk Side Pieces
The long-awaited continuation of “Aqua Teen Hunger Force,” his offers fans a look at what happens in the later lives of various side characters and villains such as The Mooninites, The Plutonians, MC Pee Pants, The Frat Aliens, Happy Time Harry, Handbanana, and The Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past.
Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell: The Animated Series
The fifth season of this series will now be in the form of these animated internet shorts as cruel boss Satan, bumbling demon Gary and all your other favorites return in America’s beloved workplace comedy set in hell.
