Jackson White, the young “Mrs. Fletcher” and male co-lead opposite Kelsey Grammar in “The Space Between,” is in final negotiations to join the cast of the “Pet Sematary” follow-up at Paramount Players.
The new film is not a sequel to the 2019 adaptation of Stephen King’s classic novel. Instead, it sounds like it could be a prequel as White’s role will be that of Jud Crandall – the elderly character John Lithgow played in the 2019 film (and Fred Gwynne in the 1989 film).
Set to begin filming in August, Lindsey Beer wrote and will direct the latest script based on a draft by Jeff Buhler. Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian will produce and the feature will debut exclusively on Paramount+.
White will soon be seen opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in Michael Bay’s action thriller “Ambulance”.
