Taylor To Direct “Interview with the Vampire”

“Mad Men” and “Game of Thrones” director Alan Taylor has been set to direct the first two episodes of the “Interview With the Vampire” series at AMC.

Taylor will also serve as an executive producer on the first season which was greenlit in June and is based on the Anne Rice novel of the same name.

The project has received an eight-episode order with an eye toward a 2022 debut on both AMC and AMC+. Rolin Jones will serve as writer, executive producer, and showrunner. Mark Johnson will executive produce alongside Rice and her son Christopher Rice.

Taylor, who also helmed “Terminator: Genisys” and “Thor: The Dark World,” directed the upcoming “Sopranos” prequel film “The Many Saints of Newark”.
