Paramount+ has announced that they have renewed “The Good Fight” for a sixth season. The order coming just several episodes into the legal drama’s fifth season which premiered on the service on June 24th.
The renewal puts the series just one season behind its predecessor, “The Good Wife,” which ran for seven seasons on CBS. However, each season is only half as many episodes as that network series.
The fifth season finds Diane (Christine Baranski) questioning whether it’s appropriate to run an African American law firm with Liz (Audra McDonald) after the departure of two top lawyers (Delroy Lindo and Cush Jumbo).
The firm also deals with a man (Mandy Patinkin) who runs a makeshift courtroom in the back of a copy shop. The series remains one of the top-performing and acquisition driving series on the Paramount+ service.
