PlayStation has released a new ‘Story Trailer’ for the Iki Island expansion in “Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut” which arrives August 20th.
The expansion sees Jin Sakai travelling south to Iki Island to face a new threat – a “lawless land of raiders and criminals, scarred by memories of war, and fiercely independent”.
An unknown pack of Mongols has arrived on the island and he must deal with them, whilst also taking a journey of healing along the way.
The expansion’s new environment is expected to be as large as one of the three main sections of Tsushima island from the original game.
The title will also include PlayStation 5-specific enhancements from making use of the new DualSense controller to cinematics rendered in-engine which allow for proper Japanese dialogue with English subtitles.
Existing owners of the regular PS4 edition can buy the upgrade to the Director’s Cut via the PlayStation Store.
