“The Suicide Squad” Scores Universal Raves

Reviews are out for James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad” and not only are they easily the best of the DCEU to date, they’re among some of the best reviews of all modern comic book movies.

As of writing, 68 professional critics reviews have been tabulated resulting in a 99% and an average rating of 8.1/10 on Rotten Tomatoes. To put that in perspective, the best prior DCEU film was Patty Jenkins’ first “Wonder Woman” at 94% & 7.7/10.

Also in comparison, the best Marvel Studios films have been “Black Panther” (96% & 8.3/10), “Avengers: Endgame” (96% & 8.2/10) and “Iron Man” (94% & 7.7/10). Gunn’s best MCU effort, the first “Guardians of the Galaxy,” sits at 92% & 7.8/10.
