The first photos have been released from “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” the upcoming new eight-episode series adaptation of Lois Duncan’s 1973 novel.

Previously the property was turned into the iconic 1997 film which retained the premise but was more of a slasher feature – one that Duncan was reportedly appalled by due to numerous changes to the material.

The late Duncan may not like this take either by writer Sara Goodman, one which sounds like it skews closer to the film. The story follows a group of teenagers one year after their graduation night ended with a fatal accident.

Bound together by a dark secret and stalked by a brutal killer, they try to piece together who’s after them. In doing so, they reveal the dark side of their seemingly perfect town — and themselves. Everyone is hiding something, and uncovering the wrong secret could be deadly.

Madison Iseman, Brianne Tju, Ezekiel Goodman, Ashley Moore, Sebastian Amoruso, Fiona Rene, Cassie Beck, Brooke Bloom and Bill Heck star. The new “I Know What You Did Last Summer” will debut on Amazon Prime Video on Friday October 15th with the first four episodes. The remaining four will debut weekly through November 12th.
