To celebrate the franchise’s 55th anniversary, Paramount+ has announced this year’s live-streaming online event ‘Star Trek Day’ for September 8th (5:30pm US-PT) and released a surprisingly effective trailer spanning all the series incarnations of the franchise.

Wil Wheaton and Mica Burton will return to hosting duties and walk viewers through every panel covering a range of shows.

Though not confirmed, it’s hoped the first trailer for “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” and new trailers for both “Star Trek: Discovery” S4 and “Star Trek: Picard” S2 will be shown along with hopefully some release date news.

Filming on the fourth season of ‘Discovery’ has reportedly just wrapped, while ‘Strange New Worlds’ completed its shoot last month with some pickup shots to take place later this Fall.

The event will be available for free through the official website, the Paramount+ streaming service, the Paramount+ Twitch page and the Paramount+ YouTube channel.
