Disney has released a new and quite violent red-band trailer for Matthew Vaughn’s long-delayed “The King’s Man” which serves as a period prequel to the two “Kingsman” films.

Set in the 1910s, the film explores the origins of the very first independent intelligence agency as a collection of history’s worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to plot a war to wipe out millions. One man must race against time to stop them.

Ralph Fiennes, Harris Dickinson, Rhys Ifans, Tom Hollander, Daniel Bruhl, Gemma Arterton, Matthew Goode, and Charles Dance star in the film which opens in December.
