Camp, Leigh, Clark Join “Salem’s Lot”

Makenzie Leigh (“The Assistant”), Emmy nominee Bill Camp (“The Queen’s Gambit”) and Spencer Treat Clark (“Glass”) will join Lewis Pullman in the new film adaptation of Stephen King’s 1975 second novel “Salem’s Lot” at New Line.

The story sees author Ben Mears (Pullman) return to his childhood home of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book. He soon discovers the place is being preyed upon by a bloodthirsty vampire.

Leigh will play Ben’s love interest, a young college grad named Susan Norton who dreams of leaving town. Camp is Matthew Burke, a former high school English teacher who knows about the sinister past of the Marten’s House. Clark is Mike Ryerson, a local gravedigger and an early victim.

The key roles of the villains Richard Straker and Kurt Barlow haven’t been announced as yet, nor have other key roles like Mark Petrie, Jimmy Cody and Father Callahan.

Gary Dauberman penned the script and directs. Roy Lee, James Wan and Michael Clear are producing the film.
