Animated “Play-Doh” Movie In The Works
eOne and Hasbro are developing an animated feature film based on the pliable children’s modelling compound Play-Doh.
Oscar-nominated screenwriter Emily V. Gordon will pen the script while filmmaker Jon M. Chu (“Crazy Rich Asians”) producing with the potential to direct.
First introduced in the 1950s, the substance has become the top arts & crafts toy brand and is sold in more than 80 countries.
The project is the latest collaboration between the two companies who are also developing the upcoming “Dungeons and Dragons” film and TV series along with planned TV shows based on board games “Risk” and “Magic: The Gathering” and films based on “Clue” and “Mouse Trap”.
