Bloomberg: Sony Interactive Entertainment planning new subscription service to rival Xbox Game Pass

Sony Interactive Entertainment [4,229 articles]” href=”https://www.gematsu.com/companies/sony-interactive-entertainment”>Sony Interactive Entertainment will introduce a new service, code-named “Spartacus,” that will enable access to a catalog of modern and classic games for a monthly fee, according to a Bloomberg report citing “people familiar with Sony’s plans and documents reviewed by Bloomberg.”

The service, which will likely be available on both PS4 [22,329 articles]” href=”https://www.gematsu.com/platforms/playstation/ps4″>PlayStation 4 and PS5 [2,080 articles]” href=”https://www.gematsu.com/platforms/playstation/ps5″>PlayStation 5, is expected to launch in spring 2022, and will reportedly merge the existing PlayStation [39,266 articles]” href=”https://www.gematsu.com/platforms/playstation”>PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now subscription plans.
